Long Island Sound IOR @ Larchmont Yacht Club
The keelboat team raced to a third place finish (out of 13 teams) in a competitive J/105 division at the Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta hosted by Larchmont Yacht Club on the Long Island Sound. The team won one race and finished on the podium in five of seven races, sailing to an overall finish just 1 point behind Vermont in second place and 3 points behind Columbia in first place. Races were W4s, taking about an hour each to complete. Conditions on Saturday were sublime: sunny and warm, with a breeze climbing from 2 knots in the morning to 6-8 knots in the afternoon. Sunday was much rougher, with rain all day, waves across the sound, and winds building up to 12-14 knots, leading RC to raise the K flag and prohibit raising spinnakers after the first race. Princeton Fall Open @ Anchor Yacht Club
The Tigers finished second at their second home regatta of the year at Anchor Yacht Club! The regatta finished in a single day with five races in each division. Laksh Jain ‘28 and Sage Shah ‘29 secured two bullets in B fleet. The weather was beautiful, although racing was postponed at times while wind filled in on the Delaware. SUNY Maritime, Monmouth, Catholic University of America, Penn State, University of Pittsburgh, and Syracuse all made their way to Bristol, PA for our home event!
