Nick Lorenzen ’27

I grew up sailing on my family’s Cape Dory 33 and was the captain of my high school 420 team in Chicago. This year was my forth year competing as a helmsman in the 333-mile Chicago to Mackinac Race.

Before coming to Princeton, I had never stepped foot in a sailboat. I’m thankful to have discovered the sport last year, and am looking forward to the next three years on the team!

Isabel Waitman ’28

I never sailed before Princeton, but I have truly found a home on the team. From practices to social activities, I have learned so much and developed a love for the sport!!

Advik Eswaran ’27

I picked up sailing from my dad when I was a kid. Before Princeton, I sailed and
raced FJs and Lasers in the Pacific Northwest and worked as a sailing instructor in Seattle.

Alexandros Chalvatzakis ’28
Coed Team Captain

I began sailing in middle school in the waters of the Thermaikos Gulf, but it wasn’t until I came to Princeton that I sailed a 420 with crew. I’ve grown significantly in skill and teamwork, and am excited to lead the team!

Katie Greppin ’26

Learning to sail at Princeton has been a remarkable experience. From capsizing within ten minutes my first time on the water to sailing 18 competitive races at conference championships, I have been thrilled to be a part of this team sport!

Evelyn Walsh

This will be my second year as captain! I grew up sailing in Rhode Island. I can’t wait for the upcoming season and look forward to continuing the development of our women’s team.

Johnny Leadingham

I began sailing competitively at
Princeton. I have loved our keelboat program’s ability to train sailors for continuing the sport after college.

Cole Crosby

I went to school in Hong Kong and Laos, but now call Virginia home. I enjoy competing on both the dinghy and keelboat teams! Before Princeton, I had never set foot on a sailboat.
