Regatta Recap! 😁
This weekend the Tigers competed in four regattas:
⛵️Charleston Fall InterConference – Tigers traveled down south! Saturday started off with a very light northerly, raging from 4-7 knots. Racing ended up being cancelled in anticipation of better breeze early on Sunday morning. Sunday’s winds built from 6-8 knots to a perfect 10-12 knots, allowing 9 races per division in excellent river sailing conditions.
⛵️McCurdy Memorial – Tigers placed 4/14 boats! Racing began on Saturday after a postponement due to light wind. There was one full A and B rotation plus A3-A4 before conditions faded and racing was called. Due to lack of wind, racing was abandoned on Sunday.
⛵️NY Maritime Fall Open – Tigers placed 5/14 boats! Light and shifty breeze kept things interesting all weekend in the Bronx, with Saturday battles against dying winds and Sunday’s brief filling enough for racing.
⛵️MAISA Open Singlehanded’s – tricky breeze made for a challenging weekend. 7 races Saturday and 2 more attempts Sunday.
Huge thanks to the RCs, judges and volunteers for pulling off a great weekend of regattas in light wind! Great quadruple-header!!!! More information on race results is available on Tech Score
